Arthur Kiong, prendra sa retraite le 31 décembre 2025, après près de 14 ans au sein de l’entreprise. Il restera Consultant jusqu’en avril 2026 et sera remplacé par l’actuel Deputy Managing Director, Mark Rohner.
Un héritage fort chez Far East Hospitality
Depuis sa prise de fonction en 2012, Arthur Kiong a profondément transformé Far East Hospitality. Il est notamment à l’origine de la devise « Singapore-Inspired Hospitality », une philosophie de service qui combine la chaleur et l’attention personnalisée avec l’efficacité et le professionnalisme caractéristiques de Singapour.
Sous sa direction, le groupe a :
- redéfini et repositionné ses marques ;
- étendu ses activités en Malaisie, au Japon, en Australie et en Nouvelle-Zélande ;
- intégré des initiatives de durabilité ;
- mis en place Acts of Grace, un cadre de valeurs qui nourrit une culture positive et bienveillante au sein des équipes.
Une transition préparée avec soin
La succession a été planifiée dès 2022 pour garantir une passation harmonieuse. Mark Rohner, qui a rejoint Far East Hospitality en juillet 2024 comme Chief Operating Officer, apportera plus de 25 ans d’expérience. Il a déjà contribué à l’expansion du groupe au Japon avec l’ouverture de deux hôtels à Osaka en 2025.

Far East Hospitality announces the retirement of Arthur Kiong, Managing Director, effective 31 December 2025. After nearly 14 years leading the company and more than four decades in the hospitality industry, Kiong will transition into a Consultant role until April 30, 2026.
He leaves behind a strong legacy, introducing the brand’s “Singapore-Inspired Hospitality” motto, championing sustainability, expanding into Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand, and fostering a values-driven culture through Acts of Grace.
Mark Rohner, Deputy Managing Director, will succeed him, bringing over 25 years of experience and a proven track record in operational excellence and regional expansion.
In a personal reflection, Kiong emphasized that retirement is not about stepping back, but about “rewiring” for resilience, relevance, and perspective — continuing to mentor, consult, and inspire future leaders.
